For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by stories about women who love women. There is something incredibly powerful about seeing these experiences brought to life through film, television, books, and the creative voices behind them.

These stories can make people feel seen, understood, and connected, yet finding them has often meant searching across countless different places.

That is why I created Sapphic World.

Sapphic World was born from a simple idea: to bring together the worldwide collection of stories, films, and series that celebrate women-loving-women relationships and experiences. A place where fans can discover new favourites, revisit beloved classics, and explore the incredible range of sapphic storytelling from around the globe.

From British productions and Hollywood films to the growing popularity of Thai GL (Girls’ Love) series, sapphic representation is expanding in exciting ways. There are so many talented creators, actors, writers, and storytellers contributing to this genre, and I want to help shine a light on them.

Sapphic World will showcase both well-known stars and rising talents who are helping shape the future of sapphic entertainment. It will explore the stories behind the stories: the performances, the characters, the creative journeys, and the communities that form around them.

But this website is not only about the screen. It is also about the people who love these stories.

There are so many passionate fans around the world sharing their thoughts, creating fan stories, writing incredible fiction, and building communities, often without receiving the recognition they deserve. Sapphic World will be a space to celebrate those voices too!
